Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Collapse mobile application ("Collapse," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the app. By using Collapse, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Collapse is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. The data we do handle falls into the following categories:

• Anonymous account identifier. When you first open the app we create an anonymous Firebase Authentication account. This is a randomly generated ID; it is not tied to your name, email, phone number, or any real-world identity.
• Display name (optional). If you choose to set a display name, we store it so it can be shown on leaderboards alongside your scores.
• Gameplay data. We store your puzzle scores, solve times, streaks, and similar gameplay statistics so we can show your history and rank you on global leaderboards.
• Subscription status. If you purchase Collapse Pro, we record whether your subscription is active. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your credit card or bank details.
• Advertising identifier (IDFA). If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, we may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. You can decline at any time and the app works exactly the same.

2. How We Use Information

• To run the core game features: leaderboards, daily challenge ranking, streak tracking, and history.
• To verify and unlock Collapse Pro features for subscribers.
• To display ads (for non-subscribers) and to measure ad performance.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

Collapse uses a small number of well-known third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Firebase (Google). Authentication, Firestore database, and Cloud Functions. Firebase Privacy
• Google AdMob. Advertising for non-subscribers. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple StoreKit. Handles all subscription purchases. Apple Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

Gameplay data and your anonymous account remain stored for as long as you continue to use the app. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will remove your records from our systems.

5. Children's Privacy

Collapse is rated 4+ and is suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone, including children. The app requires no name, email, age, or login to play.

6. Security

All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using standard HTTPS / TLS. We rely on Firebase's industry-standard infrastructure for storage and access control.

7. Your Choices

• Tracking. You can deny or revoke tracking permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
• Ads. Subscribing to Collapse Pro removes all advertising.
• Account deletion. Email us to have your gameplay data and account removed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be surfaced inside the app.
